Back to Art - Monster Class Picture

Over the past couple of years, I've put a lot of time and effort into building a stable business. I love being self-employed because of the scheduling freedom and the potential to make more money.

However, the sign and design work that pays well is far from creatively fulfilling, and the real dream of making a living with illustration has been pushed aside.

In an effort to improve my artistic skills and build a stronger portfolio, I intend to create (and post!) something fun every day. Forever. Most days will probably just be simple sketchbook pages (like below), but my hope is to FINISH lots of story pages, canvases, and comics as well.

Monsters of October Part II: THE HELLHOUND

Well, it is that time of the year again. Monster Time! I have 31 new monsters in the works for this year's Monsters of October. These are fun to work on and I have plans to use the images in various ways, including books, cards and stickers. What I'm most looking forward to, though, is adding 31 new characters to last year's poster (below) which will look AWESOME!
I think I will print the new posters at 18" x 24". Sweet.

You can still purchase last year's poster for only $10.00 here: http://goo.gl/eyBJF4

Here is a short trailer to kick this thing off:

And now I present this year's first horrifying monstrosity:
THE HELLHOUND

Forever and Ever

I wrote this story for a Steampunk anthology that may have fizzled out. I've printed this story in a manga-sized book with 2 of my other creepy tales: Salt & Pepper and The Arrival. I've posted the whole story below. Enjoy!
